"We're Not Just GED Anymore"
The Region 5 ESC Adult Education and Literacy- College & Career Preparation program provides educational opportunities to under educated adults in Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties. These services include adult education classes for out of school individuals, program planning, recruitment of students, teacher training, ongoing technical assistance, provision of books, materials, teacher salaries and a variety of other supportive functions to regional school districts and institutions.
If not, we are offering two FREE TSI Prep. Class. To register for the class at Lamar State College Port Arthur, please click here and fill out the form. To register for the class at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, please go to room 206 in the Technology Building on any Monday or Wednesday at 10 am sharp!
While this course if free of charge, students who participate must be at least 17 years of age (17 years will need a parent or guardian with them on the first day of class to sign off on consent form) and must currently have either a High School Diploma or GED.

Texas' first Jobs for America's Graduates program is here in Southeast Texas! This program serves individuals ages 16-24 who are looking to achieve academic, career, and life success! JAG SETX has been made possible through grants from Entergy Texas and the Texas Workforce Commission's Texas Industry Partnership (TIP) grant. JAG SETX is a partnership between Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas, Region 5 ESC Adult Education, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Lamar Institute of Technology, & JAG National Network.
