Activity 4

There are many different types of butterflies.  Some live best in warm, wet places, and others life best in flat, dry places.  Butterflies have been found on every continent all over the world, except Antarctica.  Wherever they live, they must have a climate they can survive in and food to eat.  To learn more about butterfly habitats, log on to the Field Museum of Natural History's site at:  http://www.fieldmuseum.org/butterfly/habit.htm

Read the first few paragraphs and then click on each of the six habitats to see the different types of butterflies that live in each habitat.  Click on the continue triangle at the bottom of each page to select the next habitat.

Then complete page 3 in your "Butterfly Journal."
