Activity 2
You learned a little bit about a butterfly's life cycle in
the first activity.  Let's take a closer look. Log on to
Enchanted Learning's Zoom School at:

This site is maintained by Enchanted Learning, an edu-
cational software company which produces many good
Internet sites, too. When you visit a site on the Internet,
it is important to know where the information came from.
After looking at the screen, click on the words The Egg on the menu bar above the picture of this stage.
Click on each of the other words on the menu: Larva (Caterpillar), Pupa, and Adult, and look at the pictures for each stage of the butterfly's development.
Click on the words Butterfly Life Cycle, at the top of the screen, to return to the life cycle main menu.
Create your own page illustrating the life cycle of the butterfly.  On the sheet titled "The Life Cycle of a Butterfly" sketch and color the four stages of the butterfly's life cycle.
The changes the butterfly makes from the larva to an adult is called metamorphosis.  This means that the butterfly changes from one form (a caterpillar) into another form ( a winged butterfly),
What would it be like if you could grow wings?  How would your life be different?
