EVADALE ISD
Plan for Educational Aides Advancement
Toward
Certified Teacher Status
This program will be directed by the campus administrators and Central Office.
PART I
Educational Aides will be supported in their pursuit of teaching certificates through the following:
Be given consideration for release time to accommodate class times that would limit their attendance;
Allow for schedules that could permit one (1) class per semester during regular day for distance learning participation with our college classes;
Allow use of district facilities and equipment for distance learning if available on after-hours basics with your current class providers.
Education Aides that desire district assistance must request in writing two (2) weeks prior to the beginning of any class or program.
Information on program will be available in the Central Office. For State information from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, call 1-800-242-3062.
Assistance in filling out any forms or for applying to the program can be obtained at the Central Office.
