Services Cooperative
The purpose of the Region 5 Educational Technology Department
is to provide access for educators to multimedia curriculum resources,
technology integration training and support to educators. The vision
of the program is to improve student performance, to enable schools
to operate more economically by sharing resources, provide high
quality, on-going technology professional development to meet NCLB
training requirements. Districts that are not currently members
of the Educational Technology Services Coop can use part of their
Title II Part D funds to join.
Technology
Co-op Cost: $25.00/*Professional Staff
- Registration
is FREE for Technology Integration professional development
workshops, Title II Part D workshops,
and web-based/independent
study workshops provided by staff of the Region 5 Technology
Department, and half-priced registration for campus-based training
in the area
of K-12 instructional technology (Each district that joins
the Ed. Tech. coop will have the opportunity to schedule a single
one-day
campus based technology professional development training for
FREE - A $500 value)
- $5.00 registration on Professional development offered via
the SETTEN Distance Learning Network
- Reduced registration for the Technology Conference
- Reduced registration and /or pricing for specialized training,
- Reduced pricing on Unitedstreaming licenses, $1.10 per student
with a cap of $625 per campus for a one year subscription.
- Over 2,500 educational core-curriculum digital videos and
25,000 clips
- Image library of over 2300 standards-based high and low
resolution photographs
- Calendar of important historical dates linked to video
clips
- Standards based Quiz Builder
- Support
materials such as sample lessons and resources, teacher’s
guides and blackline masters
- Increased number of online workshops for educators and technical
personnel
