"Star Station One"
Excite your students about space science while
we brief them on the International Space Station (ISS). Experiments
with gravity and free fall help you students understand why astronauts
experience micro-gravity or weightlessness. Our staff utilizes 1/50th
scale models of ISS modules to update students on the current status and
configuration of the ISS. Designed for grades 2 - 6.
"Magnets to Motors"
Explore magnets and electromagnetic forces.
Demonstrations include alnico magnets, a magnet field view box, powerful
neodymium magnets, electromagnets and the Museum’s 8’ tall light-up giant
motor. Designed for grades K - 8.
"Bone-A-Fied Facts"
We’ll provide "bone-a-fied" facts about the muscular
and skeletal systems of the body. Discover what our bones are made
of, how muscles help us move, and what happens when we break our bones.
The use of bones, artificial joints, and skeleton and muscle models make
for an exciting and informative adventure into the human body! Designed
for grades K - 12.
"Dino Discovery"
We introduce your students to the Museum’s robotic
triceratops, baby triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus-rex dinosaurs. Explore
a variety of fossil replicas and animal artifacts as we help students understand
how scientists learn about dinosaurs. Discover some of the things
we may never know about dinosaurs! Designed for grades K - 4.
"Rat Basketball"
Amaze your students with this fun demonstration.
Live rats trained by positive reinforcement will demonstrate how they can
slam dunk a tiny basketball! Designed for grades K - 12. 25
minute session. |
