"Ohio Wetlands - Ruin, Reintroduction & Recovery"
Can the reintroduction of a wetland-dependent animal, such as the trumpeter swan, increase the level of conservation both for the habitat and the species? Draw your own conclusions as you participate in this series of 6 videoconferences. Program series consists of the following sessions: Introduction to Wetlands, Wetlands History, Alaska Trip/Hatching and Incubation, Two Years in Training, Release and Tracking, and Wetlands Conservation Wrap-Up. Teachers will receive a teacher packet several weeks before the beginning of the program as well as a resource kit which will be on loan for the duration of the program. Participation in all 6 videoconferences is mandatory. Designed for High School Students.
