Education Network
The SETTEN Network began in the spring of 1997 with a vision to connect educational entities in the Southeast Texas area together for the purpose of offering three services:
- Direct, high-speed access to the internet
- E-mail and data transmission capabilities
- Distance Learning through video conferencing
The network connects educational entities to a hub at Region5 via T-1 lines.
Educational entities pay a fee to join the network
