What
is the Region 5 ESC
Food Service Cooperative?
The
Region 5 Food Service Cooperative is sponsored by Region 5 Education
Service Center. Its purpose is to provide technical assistance
and services to school districts that will enhance the education
of all children in the Texas education system.
Since
the cooperative’s inception in 1992, membership has increased
annually. Currently there are thirty-eight(38) school districts
participating in the food purchasing component and twenty-eight(28)
districts in the commodity processing component.
